NEED FOR OUTREACH
ENTRY-DM DCs will be trained in outreach activities as part of the transferable skill courses. They will participate in open days at schools and in universities, will mentor young students and will set up various social media channels to reach a wide audience. As information becomes available, it will be posted here.

DC8 Mireia Gromaz participated in the Poznań Festival of Science and Art 29th Edition, which is an event to promote science in the region of Greater Poland. AMU was one of the organizers, and the workshop was about teaching high school students how to perform ddPCR (digital droplet PCR) and let them know its applications and introduce them to the technique and also teach them how to pipette. It was held by a teacher at the Faculty and 3 PhD students, including Mireia.

DC10 Valeriia Gorbunova presented a poster about her work in the ENTRY-DM network at the IV PhD Research Day at University of Barcelona (Jornada de Recerca i Divulgació de Doctorat de la UB) .

DC10 Valeriia Gorbunova participated in La Fira d’Empreses UB. This event is an opportunity for students to connect with companies involved in activities related to the studies they are pursuing. The Business Fair also provides a framework for researchers from research groups to establish relationships for research and knowledge transfer. It represents an effort to overcome the barrier between university and business, and to promote technological transfer, which is so important for the future. DC3 Timothée Caboche organized a lab visit about discovering where EU funding goes for 8 EU digital ambassadors in the framework of Youth Dialogue. For more information.

DC8 Mireia Gromaz led a class at a class at the Faculty of Chemistry of Adam Mickiewicz University. Sixteen physics and chemistry students attended. Mireia developed a game in which they had to choose different chemical modifications to "generate" the best Antisense Oligonucleotides.

DC6 Àngela Natividad participated in the “Con Ciencia Té” (“Science with a Sip”) activity organized by the Association of Biotechnologists of Valencia (ABiVa). This activity is aimed at the general public and is held in a pub/bar. Its main goal is to share scientific topics with non-experts and initiate a scientific debate.The event was attended by approximately 40 members of the general public and the title of Angela's presentation was "What is myotonic dystrophy?"

DC6 Àngela Natividad participated in a Rare Disease Event organized by the Polytechnic University of Valencia and a student group from the university called Microengineers. This event brought together researchers, patients, and associations with the aim of raising awareness about rare diseases. It was especially targeted at university students mostly from biotechnology, biomedicine, and biomedical engineering.
Àngela had the opportunity to talk about myotonic dystrophy, share her knowledge about the disease, and raise awareness among the students. The program is available

The ENTRY-DM doctoral candidates worked in small groups to develop a new project logo. The idea was to develop a logo that reflected the disease, the research and the MSCA programme. The new logo is now used on the project website and will be used on projedt outputs.

DC Anton Simoes participated in Spiertocht, a bike ride across the Netherlands to collect money for muscular diseases. Over the course of the bike ride, he spoke about his ENTRY-DM research with other participants. More information about this event here.
